Our Beginning:

Isaiah 58:10 - Amp. - "If you pour out that with which you sustain your own life for the hungry and satisfy the need of the afflicted, then shall your light rise in darkness, and your obscurity and gloom shall become like the noonday. And the Lord shall guide you continually and satisfy you in drought and in dry places and make strong your bones. And you shall be like a watered garden and like a spring of water whose waters fail not."

Living Word's Pastor Charles Waldroup brought a need before the Lord in prayer.  His Bible fell open to this scripture in Isaiah 58.  It was during this time alone with God that a desire was birthed in his heart to minister to the hurting and afflicted.  Armed with his Word from the Lord, Pastor Charles set out to do what he had read and Living Word Family Church’s “Ministry Outreach Program” was birthed.

Our Mission :

LIVING WORD MINISTRIES desires to minister to hurting people by providing a wide range of services that will help ease their hardship, bring them hope and change their lives.  When a family is hungry, tired, and has no place to turn for help, they lose hope, and it's hard for them to see, much less find a way out.  With the support of volunteers, families, individuals, churches and local businesses, we believe we can make a difference in their lives.

Living Word Ministries is dedicated to help meet the needs of hurting people and families in this area. We're not here to put a band-aid on these situations. We’re here to assist those who come to us for help with immediate food and clothing, as well give them the tools and confidence they need to turn their situation around and lead successful lives, both physically and spiritually.

As we serve those who enter our programs, they will be treated with dignity and respect. We will support them as they invest in their own progress, as they listen, learn and seek to gain the needed skills to live successful lives. We will provide Bible classes, Pastoral Counseling, Financial Counseling and Spiritual Mentoring. We will expect them to help us help them by being responsible and accountable to move forward.

We stress integrity and accountability in all areas of our ministry. We want to value our donors and volunteers by being excellent stewards of all the resources that have been entrusted to us.

In all we do at Living Word Ministries, seeking to follow God's will and direction as we serve HIS people, is our first and foremost priority. We have great plans to make a significant difference in this community. We pray that you will join us in our mission. There are many in this community who need help, and we need YOUR help and partnership in helping them.
